Different versions of Avid EDL Manager have slightly different configurations which may cause slight deviation from these instructions but this outlines requirements for the EDL Crusher.
1. Set EDL Type to CMX 3600.Example
2. Click which audio channels to display but only audio (excluding SFX.) An export preview is displayed in the lower view window which should be formatted with the time code above the file name.Example
3. Click the button "Edit" next to the pull-down that says "EDL Settings." This will present you with four tabs: Master List, Dupe List, Options and Comments.
4. Set the Edit Settings according to the image links for each tab.
5. On the Comments tab select only "Clip Names", "Comments" and "Effects" (as in the Comments image above).
6. All EDLs need to be in either .txt or .edl format for conversion. The Avid session needs to be in a Frame Rate of either 29.97FPS or 23.92FPS.
7. Here is an example of a correctly formatted export.
